Join us for the Manawatu Moonlight Madness, a fun, family-friendly and affordable nighttime trail running / walking series. Scheduled over three consecutive Wednesday nights, the series takes in Palmerston North, Levin and Ashhurst, for a showcase of awesome trails in the region.
**Dates for the 2019 series – 3, 10 and 17 July 2019**
The series starts on 3 July 2019 with the New Moon Shenanigans, an exciting jaunt in Palmerston North, starting at Paneiri Park and running next to the Manawatu river along limestone tracks and bushy sections. This year the longer courses will also head out across the new He Ara Kotahi bridge. Second up is the Half Moon Hoopla on 10 July 2019, an invigorating, hilly outing along gravel roads and single-track switchbacks at Kohitere Forest Park outside Levin. Finally, we head to Ashhurst on 17 July 2019 for the Full Moon Folly, a fun, social saunter through the Ashhurst Domain trails starting at the Ashhurst Cemetery, and including a leg-stretch along the Manawatu river trail.
Starting at 6:30pm each Wednesday, each event in the series offers a long (approximately 10km), medium (approximately 5-6km) and short (approximately 3km) course, so bring the family and discover the exhilarating experience of night running and walking.
Entries are available online at the entry link above, or at registration prior to each event, between 5:15 and 6:15pm.
